Maple Cream Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup sour cream
Preparation
1) Cream together the shortening, vanilla, maple flavoring, brown sugar and eggs. In a separate bowl, stir flour and soda together; add to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream. Drop onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350* until brown; do not underbake.
Icing:
1) 6 Tbsp. butter, 1 tsp. maple flavoring, 1/2 cup evaporated milk, Confectioners' sugar
2) Melt butter and cool to room temperature; stir in maple flavoring and milk. Stir in confectioners' until icing is thick enough. Frost cooled cookies with a thick layer of icing.
